Material Overview

Accura Xtreme White (Accura XTW) is an industrial resin developed by 3D Systems that possesses properties similar to ABS, providing high durability for demanding functional assemblies. The printers used employ non-inverted vat photopolymerization technology, enabling the production of highly accurate parts with minimal need for supports. The use of Accura Xtreme White resin in combination with these printers allows Forge Labs to create large-scale parts, as the technology offers a large build platform capable of producing components with dimensions up to 650 x 750 x 550 mm in a single build. 

Mechanical Properties

Accura Xtreme White 200 is an excellent choice for durable, functional parts, offering a balance of toughness, strength, and flexibility. Known for its toughness and impact resistance, it is a standout in industrial stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing. Accura XTW excels in toughness and impact resistance, surpassing standard resins which are often more brittle making it practical for functional parts. This resin also exhibits good elongation at break, making it well suited for parts needing to withstand bending

Chemical Compatibility

Accura Xtreme White resin exhibits moderate chemical resistance, making it reasonably robust against common solvents and chemicals. While it can handle standard chemical exposures encountered in various applications, it may not be the best choice for extreme chemical environments. For such demanding conditions, specialized chemically resistant resins are recommended, which are specifically formulated to withstand harsher chemical agents. Thus, while Accura Xtreme White 200 is versatile in many respects, its chemical resistance is adequate but not exceptional for high-stress chemical applications.

Thermal Properties

The heat deflection temperature of Accura Xtreme White is lower compared to that of a standard plastic. This means that while it performs well under normal conditions, it might deform or lose integrity under high-temperature scenarios. Therefore, for applications where components are expected to endure high temperatures consistently, choosing a material with a higher heat deflection temperature would be advisable. Materials such as PEEK or Ultem, known for their high thermal stability, could be more suitable in such situations.


Accura Xtreme White is widely used for its balance of toughness and flexibility, making it ideal for a variety of applications. It's particularly suited for functional prototypes, as it can withstand rigorous testing and simulate the properties of final products.
